Information we collect
Our apps do not require account creation and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly. Information falls into two groups.
1a. Stored locally on your device
Each app stores the following on-device only (in a local Room/SQLite database, or an equivalent local store). This data never leaves your device and is removed when the app is uninstalled:
- App-specific state — e.g. game board, score, boosters, and continues for puzzle titles; playback position, subscribed feeds, queue, and the offline download cache for podcast/audio titles
- Best-game history and best score (puzzle titles), or listening history (audio titles), kept as a local-only record
- App settings: sound on/off, haptics on/off, theme mode, playback speed, and similar per-app preferences
- A first-launch flag used to decide whether to show the welcome paywall
- A cached summary of your subscription status — active/inactive, plan, product ID, base plan ID — so the app applies your premium entitlement immediately at launch without waiting for the network
What is not stored locally: payment details, purchase tokens, and Google account identifiers. None of this leaves Google Play.
1b. Collected by third parties on our behalf
The third-party services described below may collect technical and advertising-related information automatically:
- Google Advertising ID (GAID) — read on free / non-Premium installs so ad networks can deliver ads, frequency-cap them, and attribute installs. The GAID of Premium subscribers is not sent to any ad network.
- Android device ID (SSAID) — read on every launch as a stable, app-scoped device identifier. Used by Google Play Billing to verify your subscription entitlement and by the ad mediation SDK for fraud and invalid-traffic signals. It is scoped to this app's signing key and is not linked to your Google account.
- IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it
- Device model, operating system version, language, and time zone
- App version, session timestamps, and crash diagnostics
- Aggregated, non-personally-identifying usage events — including podcast/audio playback events (episode started, completed, skipped) for audio titles, used only in aggregate form
Why we disclose this: Google Play's Data safety form requires every read of the Advertising ID and the Android device ID to be declared, regardless of whether the value leaves your device. You can reset the Advertising ID at any time from Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and the Android ID is regenerated when you factory-reset the device.
Advertising partners (free / non-premium users)
For users who have not purchased the Premium subscription, our apps may display banner ads, rewarded video ads (used to unlock boosters, continue after game-over, or unlock similar perks in audio titles), and occasional interstitial ads. We work with two advertising providers, used either together or independently depending on the app.
Appodeal mediation
We use Appodeal as our primary advertising mediation partner. Appodeal's privacy policy is at appodeal.com/privacy-policy ↗.
Appodeal mediates demand from a large number of advertising networks, and the active set evolves as Appodeal updates its SDK and as we change our build configuration. The current, authoritative list is published by Appodeal:
Each network on that page links to its own privacy policy. Privacy questions specific to ad personalisation can be raised directly with Appodeal at the same site.
Google AdMob
Some of our apps also serve display, native, or rewarded ads through Google AdMob directly. Google's advertising data practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads ↗, and the Google Privacy Policy is at policies.google.com/privacy ↗. You can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com ↗.
Premium subscribers do not see ads and the advertising SDKs (Appodeal and Google AdMob) are not used to load, request, or display ad content for them. Limited initialisation traffic to the ad providers may still occur on app start before subscription state is resolved; once premium status is confirmed, no further ad calls are made for the duration of that session.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases (Google Play Billing)
Each of our apps may offer an optional Premium subscription — typically with monthly and yearly auto-renewing plans, and an introductory free trial on the yearly plan for eligible new subscribers — that removes ads and unlocks premium features specific to that app (for example, unlimited in-game boosters in puzzle titles, or offline downloads and ad-free playback in podcast/audio titles). Subscriptions are sold and processed by Google through Google Play Billing.
- All payment, billing, account, and tax information is collected and processed by Google. We do not see, store, or transmit your payment method, your Google account email, or any government identifiers.
- The app receives only a non-identifying entitlement signal from Google indicating whether an active subscription exists for your installation, the product ID, and the base plan ID (e.g. monthly or yearly). This signal is cached locally as described in §1a.
- Subscription management, cancellation, refund requests, and renewal dates are handled entirely on Google Play. The "Manage" button inside the app deep-links to the Google Play subscriptions page.
- Google Play's privacy policy applies to all billing-related processing: policies.google.com/privacy ↗
Legal basis and consent (GDPR / EEA, UK, Switzerland)
If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the legal basis for advertising-related processing is your consent, collected via an IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) dialog presented when you first launch the app. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time from within the app. The legal basis for processing subscription data via Google Play Billing is the performance of the contract you enter into when purchasing a subscription.
CCPA / US state privacy laws
If you are a California resident, or in another applicable US state, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for behavioral advertising. The in-app consent dialog provides this opt-out where required. Subscription processing by Google Play is not a "sale" of personal information.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Our apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Premium subscription is intended for adult purchasers; in-app purchases require a Google Play account with the appropriate purchase permissions.
Data retention
Locally stored data described in §1a is retained on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. We do not retain personal information on our own servers. The advertising partners and Google Play retain data per their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we do not directly hold this data, requests should be directed to the advertising partner concerned, or — for billing data — to Google Play.
To remove all locally stored data for any of our apps, uninstall the app or clear its storage from your device's settings (Settings → Apps → [the app] → Storage → Clear data).
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example when we add new titles, change advertising partners, or update subscription mechanics. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page indicates when the most recent change was made. Material changes will be reflected in-app on next launch.
